As a group, we established early on the need for female engineers to regularly secure perspectives from a trusted advisor. The CIGRE WNUK mentoring program is about matching pairs — a mentee and a mentor — in order to help women in the UK Energy sector navigate the journey to a valued career.
Volunteer mentors include men and women in the industry, mid to senior level, from technical and non-technical domains.
Feedback on the mentoring program has been extremely positive with discussion around career planning, problem solving and improving workplace communication (360°).
