Call for Nominations of Birmingham Hub Committee Members!
The following committee roles, including elected and appointed ones, are open to all CIGRE UK members in Birmingham Region. If you are interested with any position, please send (1) your CV, (2) your CIGRE UK membership category and number, and (3) your volunteer work interests, to birminghamhub@cigre-ngn-uk.org by 14th November. You will be notified whether you are eligible candidates by 18th November. The election will be conducted on site during the Annual Meeting.
Chair (Elected)
Functions: making strategic development and budget plan, Chairing the Hub’s Steering Committee, coordinating activities and accelerating collaborations within and outside of CIGRE UK, liaising with CIGRE UK NGN and CIGRE UK.
Vice-Chair (Multiple positions; Elected)
Functions: organising events, collaborating with CIGRE UK Study Committees (SCs), Women in Energy (WiE) and external collaborators, reporting to the Chair, and taking the duties of the Chair in their absence
Secretary & Treasurer (Elected)
Functions: arranging and recording meetings and tracking actions, managing the Hub’s email account, liaising with the CIGRE UK NGN Treasurer and CIGRE UK Financial Controller to maintain the financial records.
Comms Officer (Elected)
Functions: liaising with CIGRE UK NGN and CIGRE UK Marketing team in advertising events and publishing post-event reports through different platforms and social media, liaising with Learning Groups (LGs)
Learning Group Lead in Area A, B, C, or D (Appointed)
Functions: Leading the LG, hosting LG meetings and arranging sharing knowledge activities in this area, liaising with the Hub’s Sectary & Treasurer in event and budget planning.
