Members of CIGRE-UK NGN represented the NGN for its third Paris Session, and arranged a stand gathering similar Young Member groups from around the world into one place.
Young Member Stand
The 2012 Session featured a stand dedicated to CIGRE’s Young Members from around the world. Organised by the UK NGN, the stand proved popular and explained the benefits of Young Member groups, where these groups are, what they do and some personal stories from the Young Members themselves.

EPEE Session

- CIGRE-UK NGN and other NCs contributed to the Electrical Power Engineering Education (EPEE) Session in 2008 and 2010. The 2012 EPEE theme was “Power System Engineering Education for the Network of the Future” with CIGRE-UK NGN participating in a panel discussion.
Open Forum

- The Young Member open forum was a new idea for 2012 and was titled “Inspiring Our Young Engineers”. The aim of this session was for NC members and Young Members to exchange experiences of setting up and running NGN / Young Members groups, with a keynote address from Phil Harris, CEO of Tres Amigas.
