CIGRE UK is delighted to announce that Phil Clements has joined its Steering Committee.
Phil currently serves as Director of Network Engineering and Chief Engineer for SSEN-Transmission, where he holds Design and Technical Authority accountabilities across the business. He leads expert teams across all transmission-related engineering disciplines, shaping innovative technical specifications to help SSEN-Transmission and the UK deliver a Network for Net Zero.
A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET, Phil brings over 25 years of industry experience, having worked in various technical and leadership roles at SSE and, previously, National Grid.
Phil commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining the CIGRE UK Steering Committee at such a pivotal time in the energy transition for the UK, and helping shape the technical development priorities for our industry.”
