CIGRE UK Webinar: Communication solutions for information exchange in the smart delivery of electrical energy

By | Events | No Comments

Wednesday  18th July 2018 | 12.30 to 13.30.

Overview

There are many possible Smart Meter communications solutions to choose from however they may not all be equally available to every utility rolling out smart meters. This work identifies that there are major non-technical factors which limit the solutions available to utilities which are country specific and driven by regulation.
An important aspect of this TB has been the identification of trends in the technical requirements for communications system performance. From this a set of service and performance levels appropriate for current smart metering systems has been developed and are discussed in this tutorial.
