Common Network Asset Indices Methodology (CNAIM): Latest Developments and its use in the GB Electricity Industry
An Online Technical Webinar
Thursday 15th December 2022 | 12.30 to 13:30
Common Network Asset Indices Methodology (CNAIM) is used by all GB Distribution Network Operators (DNOs). This is a common methodology developed and used for assessing condition-based risk for electricity distribution assets, including power transformers up to and including 132kV transformers.
In this session, we will be going through how probability and consequence of failures are evaluated for network assets, with focus on transformers and how these are used to guide engineering plans in the GB DNOs to maintain a reliable network.
. Speaker Profile
ShengJi Tee is a Lead Engineer in the Network Planning and Regulation department at SP Energy Networks. He works on the asset management, design and planning of primarily the distribution networks up to 132kV. He is involved in various national and international working groups on standards, guidance and brochures on network risk indices, network development and management. Prior to this, he worked as a post-doctoral research associate after graduating with a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Manchester, with research interests on transformer and asset management.
