Cyber Security: Utilities’ Biggest Challenge?

This unique evening conference focuses on the issues of protection and security of networks, systems and data within the Utilities sector. Registration is at 5.00pm for refreshments and networking before a prompt 6.00pm start.

Kindly hosted by Vysiion at the Qinetiq conference facilities, the event is limited to only 100 attendees. It includes a strong line-up of contributors that bring relevant industry experience, understanding, and technical expertise to the discussions. There will be time for invaluable networking at the beginning and end of the evening with a light buffet.

Ray Zhang (National Grid) will discuss the challenges faced by the Utilities sector and how the National Grid is dealing with the security threats. Dave Sargent (Nokia) will focus on security at the substations, whilst Andy Spurway (Vysiion Limited) will provide an insight on the different kinds of cyber security threat and the approaches being adopted to combat them. Then Steve Hall from Ark Data Centres will discuss how the providers of the physical data centre facilities ensure security of data, systems and network entry points.

Finally, a short hosted guided tour of the Data Centre and a Panel Session chaired by Adam Middleton (CIGRE) will conclude the evening. The forum will allow all attendees to contribute to the discussions.
